All of the cars have operating magnetic knuckle couplers at both ends. The entire crane and cab rotate 360 degrees on the flat car superstructure that rides on die-cast 6-wheel trucks with metal wheels. The operating crane car is controlled by a pair of manual "crank wheels", one wheel on the side to control lowering and raising the hook on a cable at the end of the crane boom, and one wheel in the rear to raise and lower the boom.
